Burcott Riding Centre was established in 1970 as a family run riding school. The school is B.H.S approved.The riding centre has a busy riding school, catering for beginners through to experienced riders on school or their own horses.

Wells Walking Tours offers city tours and countryside rambles in and around Wells, the smallest city in England, set in stunning countryside at the foot of the Mendip Hills. Whether you want to learn about the history of Wells and behold its wealth of medieval buildings, or simply stroll through the woods and fields to take in views of The Mendips, Glastonbury Tor and the Somerset Levels, they can make sure that you really get the most from your visit.
City tours run on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11am, from Easter to the end of September. These last approximately 1 hour.

Much of the Levels is pastureland ('green desert') reserved for cattle grazing, but on the bike track to the Peat Moors Visitor Centre (where there's a good cafe!) you see the area in its more natural, wilder state.
