Another year of improvement! 🎉🏕️
We are very pleased to announce that we have been reviewed by the AA again.
Not only have we retained our three pennants and our Gold Award for quality, but we have an increased score of 92%.
This is our third year of running the campsite, and we are delighted that the improvements we have made have been recognised by this national accreditation.
Our aim is to continue to make your stay as enjoyable as possible!

Greenacres is home to many animals… and a lot of birds.

Every year we have swallows that return to their nest above a washing up area – and we all watch as Mum sits on the nest and then listen to the babies demanding their food!

But this year they have chosen to build an additional next in the Information Hut. An engineering feat on a narrow light strip  – and right next to everyone coming and going to the fridges / freezers.

We’ve put up notices and information sheets – so everyone can have a look and then leave them in peace.

If you like birds – then you will love it here! Swallows are just one of the many birds we have. We also have a robin that is nesting in the wood shed – plus everyone loves hearing the owls at night time.

Our campsite is tucked away – with no main road or town near it – and no light pollution. This makes it the perfect place to stargaze and since we’ve been here we have spent many evenings admiring the sky.

Although not open yet (this is early April) – a local colleague asked if he could spend a few hours with his telescope in the middle of the campsite. It was not an ideal night for stargazing as the moon was out – but here are the photos he took. He loved it so much here that he is returning this month for another night.

There are times when we have looked out and the sky is so heavy with stars that you feel like you can reach out and touch one – it is truly beautiful and something you will never be able to see from a town or city. Its very easy to spot the main constellations and planets and both adults and children get the same amount of enjoyment from it.

The best time to go stargazing is the days before, during and soon after each new Moon, when there is no Moon in the sky. During these times, there is no bright Moon to wash out the light from fainter stars. But even out of these times it is still beautiful – as the key to successful stargazing is to reduce as much light around you as possible.

So remember to pack your telescope or binoculars when you visit us – and enjoy the beauty of nature!

Our large supply of bikes means you can cycle there in 12 minutes – and luckily, the secure bike storage is this end of the festival! Such an easy journey! But you can always take the village community bus or get a taxi – it’s very easy.

We’ll keep you updated with information – but for those who already have tickets and can’t wait to see who is playing – this is some useful information from a festival site:

Just a quick heads up to let you know that last week, in anticipation of the first line-up poster (which will hopefully get revealed sometime around March), we started putting together a playlist (link below) of acts confirmed and (strongly) rumoured for playing at Glastonbury 2023…

The current playlist is updated daily and sorted by prominence of performers and confirmations, but stay tuned, as we’ll also be curating ones of individual stages as well as handpicked recommendations (including lesser-known artists) as they get confirmed!
