1. Directions

Please follow the directions given on our “Location” page.  The approach to Greenacres is quite narrow, but fairly easy if you stick to the signposted route.

Be aware that there is another Barrow Lane in Pilton village, that’s not the right one!

Entering our postcode into most satnav systems will normally take you to Barrow Farm, approx 200m along the lane from our location.

If you are travelling by public transport please CLICK HERE for more info.

2. Arriving

Reception is located at the side of our house, across the lane from the campsite entrance. Check-in is available from 2:00pm until 8:00pm. If you expect to arrive after 8:00pm you must call us to advise. Please come through the house gate and keep to the right – the entrance door is on the side of the garage. The site plan shows the location of all our facilities and a copy will be provided for you on arrival.

The lane is narrow, with no room to turn a trailer.  If you are towing a trailer, please pull through the campsite gate and park on the side of the track (don’t block the entrance), then take the short walk back across the lane to reception.

3. Pitch Allocation

Camping pitches are numbered and allocated in advance – we don’t have a “site on arrival” policy. Please do not go and choose your own pitch – you would most likely need to move – instead come to reception and you will be directed to your allocated pitch.

4. Payment

Any outstanding camping or hire fees are due for payment on arrival. Payment methods are cash and credit/debit card only. (All payments under £15.00 are cash only.) We don’t accept cheques or American Express cards.

5. Settling In

We sell Camping Gaz and Calor gas, together with regulators and hose if needed. The local supermarkets are Tesco (Shepton Mallet, Glastonbury and Wells), Morrisons (Wells and Glastonbury), Aldi (Shepton Mallet and Glastonbury), Lidl (Wells) and Waitrose (Wells). All of them are about 10 minutes’ drive from the campsite.

For camping essentials there is a DIY shop in Shepton Mallet that sells camping bits, Argos in Shepton Mallet plus Halfords in Wells.

There are launderettes in Shepton Mallet, Wells and Glastonbury.

Please ask for directions to any of these local facilities.
